Last day

Got up early, had breakfast and went to the bus shelter heading south bound to go see a free botanical garden called KoKo Crater which was conveniently located near Sandy beach, Obamas favorite beach.

The bus took forever to come so we decided not to go bc it was an hr journey each way plus who knew how long the next bus would arrive for the return.

So we went to Ala Monoa and walked familiar territory. The art museum and US army museum are there but closed on Mondays. I don't do well with spontaneity . I love when my whole trip is planned to T because I can appropriately locate restaurants and move things around based on hours of operation.
We had a delicious lunch at Cheese cake factory.

Then headed back to hotel and picked up bags as we previously checked out. We came to accept our time has ended. One room was $1300. That's an average of 198 plus tax per night with Matthews military discount. So imagine how much the Hilton costs!!!

We hailed a cab and went to airport early to see if maybe we could get on an earlier flight. Same day change fee is $75 and $25 for standby. Since we had two flights standby was not an option. All flights were booked to capacity and oversold. So we left it as is. The flight was to begin boarding at 810 and didn't start boarding til 8:45 bc of technological difficulties. We left about 20 min late.

I'm now in LA waiting for my connection. It's a 5 hour layover. I don't know anyone in LA and LA traffic is so bad it's not a good idea to leave.
